Job DescriptionResponsible for providing clinical leadership and oversight of the Mobile ICU's Clinical Quality, Education, Performance Improvement, and Clinical Practice programs. Develops, coordinates, implements, evaluates, and maintains clinical policies, procedures, standards, and educational programs to promote evidence-based, high-quality patient care and ensure compliance with New Jersey Department of Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS), N.J.A.C. 8:41/8:41A, applicable clinical practice guidelines, and hospital requirements. Serves as a key clinical resource to Mobile ICU leadership and staff and supports the continuous advancement of clinical practice, professional competency, regulatory compliance, and patient safety.
Qualifications- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or health-related field from an accredited institution preferred. Active NJ Registered Nurse (RN) license preferred.
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Paramedicine for individuals certified as a paramedic after June 2015, in accordance with NJOEMS requirements.
- Current NJ Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic (MICP) license or Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) endorsement.
- Working knowledge of NJ EMS laws, regulations, NJOEMS Clinical Practice Protocols, and J.A.C. 8:41/8:41A.
- Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required, Instructor-level certifications preferred.
- Current ICS 100, ICS 200 and ICS 700 certifications required.
- Current PHTLS, ITLS or equivalent approved trauma certification, if not current at hire, certification must be obtained within six months of employment.
- Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record and no restrictions that would prevent the operation of department vehicles.
- Successful completion of Certified Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO), Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC), or equivalent approved emergency vehicle operating training within six months of hire.
- Demonstrated knowledge of prehospital clinical practice, EMS quality improvement, clinical education, competency assessment, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the EMS Medical Director, hospital leadership, clinical departments, educational institutions, regulatory agencies, and external partners.
- Ability to respond to major incidents, high-acuity clinical situations, and other operational needs as required.
