Full Job Description
The Department of Anesthesiology, at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, seeks candidates for a tenure-ineligible clinical Instructor position for the July, 2025 - June, 2026 recruitment year. This one-year, post-graduate, regional program is designed to give advanced clinical, technical, and research training in the field of regional anesthesia. This training opportunity is held in one of the premier academic communities in the country. Locations will include the University of Virginia Medical Center and the UVA Outpatient Surgical Center. The University of Virginia performs more than 7,000 peripheral nerve blocks and catheters annually. Clinical work will be comprised of 80% fellow and 20% junior faculty position. Additional time will be allocated to research endeavors and conference attendance in accorance with fellowship guidelines. In addition, you will be eligible to participate in our quarterly incentive program which is a payment for covering Friday or Saturday night call or the Saturday elective schedule.

This training program is a non-ACGME fellowship and will be verified as such on all training verifications.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must have an MD or equivalent and have succesfully completed an ACGME accredited residency in Anesthesiology. Qualified candidates must be American Board of Anesthesiology certified or certification-eligible.
