Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Clinical Documentation Review Specialist (RN), you will help medical staff clarify patient records so they can ensure appropriate reimbursement and accurately reflect the complexity and severity of patient care.
Every day you will perform concurrent medical record reviews on nursing units. You will be expected to prompt physicians to resolve missing, unclear, or conflicting documentation and provide education to patient care providers.
To be successful in this role, you must be a Registered Nurse with a strong understanding of clinical documentation standards, physician communication strategies, and medical coding requirements.
As a remote employee, we will provide you with the equipment needed to work from home, including a laptop, docking station, dual monitors, and accessories.
Job Requirements
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or equivalent, required.
- Current Washington State Nursing license
- 3+ years of direct patient care experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
Preferred
- Utilization review and / or inpatient concurrent coding experience.
