Full Job Description
The Clinical Director in senior living is a senior-level leadership position responsible for overseeing all clinical operations within an assisted living, memory care, or senior living community. The role ensures that residents receive high-quality, safe, and compliant care while managing staff, budgets, and clinical processes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee Clinical Operations: Manage daily clinical activities, including resident care plans, health assessments, and coordination of services
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including OSHA, HIPAA, and facility-specific standards
  • Staff Leadership: Hire, train, supervise, and mentor clinical staff such as nurses, aides, and case managers; provide guidance and performance feedback
  • Policy & Procedure Development: Create, implement, and update clinical policies, protocols, and best practices for resident care careers.
  • Quality & Safety: Monitor clinical outcomes, track metrics (e.g., readmission rates, incident reports), and lead continuous improvement initiatives
  • Budget & Resource Management: Manage departmental budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and support financial planning
