Full Job Description
About the role

We are looking for a Clinical Data Specialist who specializes in clinical dataset annotation. In this role, you won't just be managing data; you will be teaching our AI how to "read" and "understand" clinical research. You will transform unstructured clinical notes, protocols, and medical records into high-quality, structured training sets that power our Aika platform.

Key responsibilities

  • Dataset Annotation: Lead the high-fidelity labeling and annotation of diverse clinical datasets, including trial protocols, Case Report Forms (CRFs), and medical literature.
  • AI Training Support: Work closely with the AI and Engineering teams to provide the "human-in-the-loop" expertise required to refine machine learning models.
  • Standardization: Apply clinical coding standards (such as MedDRA, WHODrug, or SNOMED CT) to ensure data interoperability and regulatory compliance.
  • QualityControl: Conduct rigorous audits of annotated data to maintain the "ground truth" accuracy essential for regulatory-grade AI outputs.
  • ProtocolIntelligence: Extract key entities (inclusion/exclusion criteria, endpoints, and biomarkers) from unstructured documents to enhance the platform's predictive capabilities.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, or Health Informatics.
  • Experience: 2+ years in clinical data management (CDM) or clinical research, with a specific focus on data cleaning or medical coding.
  • AnnotationExpertise: Proven experience with data labeling tools or a strong understanding of NLP (Natural Language Processing) concepts in a medical context.
  • ClinicalKnowledge: Deep familiarity with clinical trial phases, protocol design, and regulatory requirements (FDA/EMA).
  • Precision: An obsessive eye for detail - you understand that a single mislabeled data point can impact the validity of a clinical model.

Why Join Us?

  • A dynamic work environment with an international team, where collaboration and diversity thrive.
  • Work alongside top talent, united by a shared purpose and committed to making a real impact.
  • Comprehensive private health coverage to ensure your physical and mental well-being.
  • Company-sponsored gym membership to support your fitness goals.
  • Hybrid work model offering flexibility to balance your professional and personal life.
  • Coffee, tea, beverages, and snacks to keep you fuelled throughout the day.
  • Company events to celebrate achievements and enjoy time together.
  • Get equipped with a MacBook to enhance your productivity and work experience.
  • Our office is pet-friendly! You'll likely be greeted by a few wagging tails upon arrival.
