Keeps informed of nursing care trends, new technology and related developments.The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) provides staff development expertise as an educator, consultant, facilitator, change agent, leader and researcher. They support the development of the bedside nurse and foster empowerment through knowledge to achieve excellence through the delivery of evidenced based nursing practice. This occurs through the facilitation of the educational process through assessment, development, planning, implementation and evaluation of competency assessment, continuing education and leadership development. In addition, as a role model of professional behavior, the CNE is instrumental in creating a professional nursing climate
Requirements:- Academic degree in nursing required Bachelors or Masters degree; Masters degree in Nursing or related field required (Health Administration, Business, Public Health, or Management).
- Current CA RN License.
- 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment preferably at the director level.
- Knowledgeable about State and Federal healthcare regulations pertaining to nursing care.
- Have competency in various areas of human resources, such as labor relations and equal employment opportunity policies.
