Full Job Description
What We're Looking For:
The Client Service Leader (Water) is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with public clients while leading business development efforts to grow Barge's market presence throughout Georgia. This role serves as a trusted advisor to clients, identifies and pursues new opportunities, and collaborates with project managers and technical specialists to secure and successfully deliver projects. The ideal candidate combines business development expertise, strong client-facing communication skills, and technical knowledge of water, wastewater, and/or stormwater infrastructure to drive growth and profitability.

Responsibilities
  • Refine and execute Barge's water market strategy across Georgia.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with municipal leaders, utility directors, and key industry stakeholders.
  • Build and manage a strong project opportunity pipeline and lead pursuit activities to secure new work.
  • Collaborate with marketing, technical experts, and pursuit teams to develop winning strategies and proposals.
  • Serve as a primary client contact and maintain strong communication throughout project delivery.
  • Leverage technical knowledge to identify client needs and engage subject matter experts as appropriate.
  • Represent Barge at client meetings, industry events, and professional organizations.
  • Maintain CRM data and support business development forecasting and reporting.
  • Monitor business development investments and maximize return on investment.


Education & Experience Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited program.
  • Minimum 10 years of water/wastewater, and/or stormwater industry experience, preferably within the A&E consulting industry.
  • Demonstrated success developing client relationships and winning work with public-sector water/wastewater clients.
  • Strong knowledge of water/wastewater and/or stormwater systems, including treatment facilities, pipelines, and master planning.
  • Established professional network and credibility within Georgia, particularly the Metro Atlanta market.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and lead business development efforts.
  • Experience leading pursuits, developing proposals, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Candidates currently serving as Project Managers and Subject Matter Experts, ready to transition into a client service and business development leadership role are encouraged to apply.
