Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Client Accounting Services Senior to join our team in any of the following office locations: White Plains, NY. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing firm.

The Client Accounting Services Senior provides clients with various accounting duties requiring some evaluation, ingenuity, and accuracy on a timely basis. Our professionals utilize a client-focused approach to all our engagements and work closely with a diverse clientele. Duties are performed according to generally accepted accounting principles.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Assisting with core accounting processes, including maintaining the general ledger, preparing and posting journal entries, and supporting the monthly close process
  • Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances or discrepancies
  • Supporting the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements, including workpapers and supporting schedules
  • Performing bank, credit card, and other account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data
  • Compiling and analyzing financial information to support general ledger activity and document business transactions
  • Assisting with cash flow tracking and basic forecasting activities
  • Monitoring deadlines and ensuring timely completion of assigned deliverables and compliance-related filings
  • Supporting responses to tax notices and inquiries, including gathering documentation and performing basic research
  • Performing analytical procedures to identify trends, fluctuations, and variances, and assisting in drafting explanations
  • Ensuring adherence to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), as well as firm and client policies and procedures
  • Communicating with clients to address routine requests and provide updates on deliverables
  • Collaborating with senior team members and assisting with special projects as needed

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
  • Minimum of at least 3+ years of relevant experience
  • CPA and/or in process of obtaining CPA preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, initiative, and leadership skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Advanced level QuickBooks skills desired
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to work in team environment and to work additional hours as needed
  • Maintains a high level of professionalism and consistently demonstrates respect for others
