Full Job Description
Classification Management Officer 2

Classification Management Officer 2 CMO2 to join our team in Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • The Classification Management Officer 2 CMO 2 is a mid-level information security professional who provides advice and assistance to the Government regarding classification management.
  • Provides classification management guidance in accordance with National Security guidelines and ICD 710, Classification and Control Markings System
  • Perform detailed analysis and quick issue resolution and identify and assess sources for classification determinations
  • Expertise in research, analysis and writing while generating, tracking, coordinating and responding to action items in a timely manner
  • Ability to effectively brief audiences on security matters which relate to classification management
  • Provide classification, control marking, and dissemination principles knowledge
  • Research and write protection guidance products for customer programs and assets


Minimum Qualifications :
  • High School Diploma and 8+ years of relevant experience or Associates and 6 + years of relevant experience or Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of relevant experience or Masters and 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SCI arena
  • Thorough understanding of IC and DoD regulatory guidance
  • Excellent writing and research skills
  • Previous experience providing protection guidance to federal customer highly preferred
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment


Security Requirements:

Must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph

Physical requirements:
  • Must be able to be in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
  • Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer, scanner, facsimile


The projected compensation range for this position is $75,500.00-$125,600.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
