Full Job Description
As a Civil Project Manager, you'll lead projects from pre-construction through final delivery, serving as the central point of coordination for people, cost, schedule, quality, and safety. This is a hands-on role where you'll prepare and evaluate estimates, submit bids, manage subcontractors, mentor project teams, and maintain strong client relationships, all while upholding Calnin & Goss safety standards and quality expectations. You'll be trusted to lead with integrity, make sound decisions, and build lasting partnerships that support successful projects and a strong local community.

What You Bring
  • 5-7 years of experience in civil construction estimating, project management, or a related field, with hands-on involvement in earthwork, utilities, or similar civil scopes.
  • A strong commitment to safety, ethics, and compliance, with experience leading site safety efforts and ensuring subcontractor adherence to standards.
  • Proven ability to manage projects end-to-end, from estimating and bidding through execution and close-out, balancing scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk.
  • Solid understanding of contract documents, drawings, specifications, and codes, and the ability to translate them into executable work plans.
  • Experience with budget management, change orders, and cost control, including subcontractor coordination and proposal evaluation.
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills, including mentoring, coaching, and fostering a collaborative, high-trust team environment.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Proficiency with construction estimating and project management tools, including Bluebeam and Microsoft 365.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Nice to Have
  • Experience using B2W or similar civil modeling/estimating tools.
  • Strong familiarity with supply chain coordination and procurement planning tied to project milestones.
  • Experience working across multiple stakeholders or collaborating within a larger parent organization (such as Boldt).
  • Comfort balancing field presence with office-based planning and reporting responsibilities.

Compensation

Target Hiring Range: $94,000 - $121,000 annually.

Boldt recognizes that experience, expertise, and specialized skills create value. The target hiring range for this position is $94,000 - $121,000 annually; however, compensation is determined based on qualifications, experience, certifications, geographic market conditions, internal equity, and business considerations. In addition to base compensation, employees may be eligible for incentive compensation and participation in applicable company benefit programs.

Candidates whose experience or expertise substantially exceed the requirements of the role are encouraged to apply, as compensation may be reviewed based on individual qualifications.
