AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Inspector in Rocky Hill, CT.
Job Details:
• Monitor conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and code requirements by performing inspection duties
• Provide input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers
• setting own project deadlines
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees
• Perform daily field inspections and maintain inspection records
• Complete punch lists, testing, and commissioning
• Track quality assurance progress
• Document railroad force account activities and protection
• Photo document contractor work
• Document non-conforming work
• Track pay item quantities
Qualifications
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field of study and 4 years of experience as a Civil Inspector, Field Engineer, Construction Manager, or in a related occupation.
Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field of study and 2 years of experience as a Civil Inspector, Field Engineer, Construction Manager, or in a related occupation.
Position requires experience in the following:
1. Working in a construction environment
2. Preparing daily work inspection reports
3. Conducting tiebacks, drilled shaft, and pile inspections
4. Conducting storm water management and spill prevention inspections
5. Overseeing Geotechnical borings
6. Monitoring and reporting contractor safety
7. Coordinating contractor activities
