What you will be doing:- Supervise and validate laboratory geotechnical testing programs (e.g., triaxial, consolidation, direct shear, permeability)
- Analyze test results and provide engineering interpretations and recommendations
- Prepare detailed geotechnical laboratory reports and technical documentation
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (ASTM, CSA, etc.) and internal quality protocols
- Liaise with project managers and clients to understand testing objectives and reporting needs
- Mentor and support junior staff and lab technicians
- Maintain professional registration and uphold ethical engineering standards
What you bring to the table:- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
- P.Eng. designation in good standing with a Canadian provincial engineering association
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in geotechnical laboratory testing and analysis
- Strong background in soil mechanics and geotechnical lab methods
- Excellent data analysis, interpretation, and reporting skills
- Familiarity with geotechnical lab software and quality control systems
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized
