Job Title: Staff Accountant
Reports To: Controller
Employment Type: Full-Time / Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $40.00 - $50.00/hour
Location: Fremont, CA
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an individual who can work independently and is detailed oriented who oversees General Ledger entries. This position will work cross-functionally with all departments and enhance day-to-day operations within the department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- General Ledger
- Month End closing and account reconciliations for four separate entities
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Manual Accounts Receivable and Customer rebate accruals
- Prepaid Expenses
- Fixed Assets
- Accrued Liabilities
- Insurance
- Sales & Use Tax
- Business Licenses
- Personal Property Taxes
- Prepare monthly P&L and other reporting as assigned
- Assistance on Audits (financial statements, Sales & Use Tax, insurance, customer, union and others).
- Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of accounting, finance, and payroll experience.
- Construction industry or professional services industry experience preferred.
- Experience using Sage Intacct, Sage, or similar accounting software.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- Repeated motions that include wrist, hands and fingers.
- Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment.
- Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
