OverviewDecisionPoint seeks two CI/CD Engineers to build, operate, secure, and continuously improve software-delivery pipelines for the USMEPCOM ENLIST program. These roles maintain code repositories, repeatable builds, automated tests, deployment tooling, infrastructure-as-code assets, promotion controls, and automated rollback capabilities.
The CI/CD Engineers work with software developers, testers, architects, cybersecurity personnel, cloud and infrastructure engineers, configuration-management staff, operations teams, and Government stakeholders. They help ensure that source code, infrastructure, pipeline scripts, application packages, and releases are versioned, reproducible, traceable, and deployable through controlled processes.
These positions are remote, with Chicago-area candidates preferred.
Note: By applying to this position, you acknowledge and consent to having your resume included in an active competitive government contract bid.
Duties & Responsibilities

- Ensure build and deployment artifacts are stored, versioned, secured, and traceable to approved source code and releases.
- Prepare and maintain build instructions, installation procedures, deployment procedures, configuration guidance, and rollback instructions.
- Troubleshoot failed builds, automated tests, pipeline stages, artifact issues, deployment errors, and environment inconsistencies.
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement durable corrections for recurring pipeline and deployment failures.
- Monitor pipeline reliability, execution times, failure rates, deployment frequency, recovery performance, and related engineering metrics.
- Incorporate feedback from development, testing, cybersecurity, release management, and operations teams into pipeline improvements.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity personnel to integrate approved security scanning, dependency analysis, code analysis, artifact scanning, and compliance checks.
- Protect credentials, keys, tokens, certificates, secrets, and service accounts used by build and deployment processes.
- Support configuration-management baselines and ensure deployed components align with approved versions and release records.
- Support development, integration, and test environments and help maintain consistency across environments.
- Coordinate with cloud, infrastructure, database, network, and application teams to resolve deployment dependencies.
- Support application modernization, cloud migration, platform transition, and release-readiness activities.
- Participate in peer reviews, design reviews, pipeline reviews, security reviews, and technical walkthroughs.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily coordination, reviews, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
- Provide implementation estimates and identify pipeline dependencies, technical risks, assumptions, constraints, and impediments.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, known-issue information, and troubleshooting guidance in approved repositories.
- Support Government demonstrations, release validation, operational transition, and post-deployment verification.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of DevSecOps, automation, configuration management, testing, release, and operational-feedback practices.
