Psychiatry Opportunity | Ogdensburg, NY
North Star Health Alliance

We are seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified (BE/BC) Adult or Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our established behavioral health team. This role offers a diverse clinical experience, combining inpatient care with outpatient support and hospital consultations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Comprehensive Care: Conduct holistic psychiatric evaluations to diagnose and manage acute and chronic mental health illnesses.
  • Clinical Intervention: Provide pharmacological management, psycho-education, and crisis intervention.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside an established team of psychiatrists and clinicians to review health assessments and treatment plans.
  • Patient Continuity: Conduct follow-up appointments to ensure the long-term success of patient treatment plans.
  • Schedule: Primarily Day Shift with shared on-call duties (including nights/days for at least one weekend per month).
Qualifications
  • Education: MD or DO from an accredited program.
  • Certification: Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Psychiatry or Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Inpatient Experience: Comfortable working within an inpatient unit and providing hospital-wide consultations.
