Position SummaryThe COO will oversee all operational functions, including field operations, scheduling, client service, equipment management, safety, and team development. This role requires a hands-on, solutions-oriented leader who can build scalable systems, elevate service delivery, and support the company's continued expansion.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily operations across multiple service lines, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety
- Develop and implement operational strategies that support growth and profitability
- Lead, mentor, and develop field supervisors, crew leaders, and administrative staff
- Establish and refine workflows, performance standards, and operational KPIs
- Strengthen client satisfaction through consistent service delivery and proactive communication
- Collaborate with ownership on budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
- Optimize resource allocation, including labor, equipment, and materials
- Support recruitment, training, and retention of high-performing team members
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement scalable solutions
- Partner with sales and account management to support new business and client retention
Qualifications- Senior leadership experience in the landscaping industry required
- Proven success overseeing operations in a service-based or field-based environment
- Strong understanding of landscape maintenance, enhancements, equipment, and seasonal workflows
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, build culture, and manage performance
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
