Reports to: SVP America Sales

Location: US (preferred Austin TX, Phoenix AZ, San Jose CA)

Role Summary

Opportunity overview
  • High-impact leadership role supporting the SVP, AMEC Sales while leading a regional transformation agenda across sales process, operating model, data, and AI-enabled execution.
  • Ideal for a strategic operator who can turn executive priorities into measurable operating change and business outcomes.

Role scope

This role works across AMEC Sales, including Direct Sales, Distribution, Field Applications, and Sales Operations. The leader will partner closely with Sales Operations, IT, Data and Analytics, Finance, HR, and external partners to drive a multi-quarter transformation agenda.

Core ownership areas
  • AMEC Sales leadership operating rhythm, including agenda quality, decision clarity, prioritization, and follow-through
  • Prioritization and execution of the AMEC Sales transformation agenda
  • Redesign of high-value sales and management workflows
  • Adoption of AI-enabled ways of working across target users and leadership forums
  • Executive visibility into progress, risks, decisions, and business impact

Key accountabilities

1. Executive operating cadence
  • Run the Sales Management Team cadence to improve focus, decision quality, and accountability.
  • Support the SVP with strategic preparation, decision framing, and action follow-through.

2. Transformation leadership
  • Lead the AMEC Sales transformation agenda from strategy through execution, adoption, and outcomes.
  • Translate priorities into sequenced initiatives, measurable outcomes, and high-value workflow improvements.

3. Sales process and workflow redesign
  • Redesign sales, management, and operating workflows to be more AI-enabled, scalable, and signal-driven.
  • Reduce low-value work, simplify coordination, and align workflows with roles, coverage, and incentives where needed.

4. Cross-functional orchestration
  • Integrate work across Sales, Sales Operations, IT, Data and Analytics, Finance, HR, and other stakeholders.
  • Surface risks and misalignment early, then drive sequenced actions through closure.

5. AI-enabled workflow deployment
  • Design and deploy AI-enabled workflows that simplify or augment key sales motions.
  • Partner with IT and Data on secure architecture, compliance, governance, and responsible AI use.

6. Leadership leverage and executive support
  • Build AI-enabled capabilities for meeting prep, pre-reads, briefings, decision capture, and action tracking.
  • Improve the quality and efficiency of key leadership forums and communications.

7. Change leadership and adoption
  • Lead adoption of new workflows, AI tools, and operating methods across AMEC Sales.
  • Drive change management, enablement, feedback loops, and management capability for sustained impact.

8. Executive visibility and scale
  • Provide regular executive visibility on progress, risks, adoption, and business impact.
  • Build a repeatable transformation playbook aligned with broader Sales transformation efforts.

Role clarity: This is a business transformation and executive leverage role, not an administrative, PMO-only, or tool implementation position. The leader owns the AMEC Sales transformation agenda, leadership cadence, workflow redesign priorities, adoption plans, and outcome tracking.

Ideal candidate background

Required
  • 8+ years of leadership experience in sales transformation, sales operations, commercial excellence, digital operations, business transformation, business operations, chief of staff, or related fields
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives with measurable business impact
  • Strong business judgment and comfort operating with senior leaders in complex and ambiguous environments
  • Strong understanding of AI use cases in commercial organizations, including automation, copilots, workflow orchestration, and agent-based support
  • Strong systems thinking with the ability to redesign processes end-to-end across people, process, data, and technology
  • Excellent structured thinking, executive communication, and stakeholder management skills

Strongly preferred
  • Experience in sales organizations, go-to-market strategy, or commercial transformation
  • Experience in semiconductors, high-tech, or other complex B2B sales environments
  • Experience with AI, automation, advanced analytics, or agentic systems in commercial settings
  • Experience working with consulting partners on transformation programs
  • Combination of consulting and operator experience
  • Prior experience in a chief of staff, transformation, sales operations, or business operations leadership role with direct execution ownership
