Overview

ITA is seeking a Chrief of Growth to join the team supporting our Headquarters in Newport News, Virginia.

Responsibilities

The Chief of Growth, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, serves as the executive leader responsible for driving ITA's long-term growth strategy, expanding market presence, and accelerating sustainable revenue growth. This role leads the company's business development, capture, strategic partnerships, and customer engagement efforts to identify, shape, and secure new business opportunities. Working closely with executive leadership, the Chief of Growth develops and executes enterprise growth strategies, cultivates senior customer relationships, expands strategic partnerships, and positions ITA to capitalize on emerging mission needs, technology trends, and market opportunities. Through a combination of strategic vision, customer insight, and disciplined execution, this executive plays a critical role in strengthening ITA's competitive position and achieving the company's long-term growth objectives.

Additional Responsibilities & Requirements: 

  • Develop and execute ITA's enterprise growth strategy to expand market share, diversify the customer portfolio, and achieve sustainable revenue growth. 
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with current and prospective customers, industry partners, and acquisition stakeholders to identify emerging mission needs and position ITA as a trusted solutions provider. 
  • Lead business development, capture management, strategic partnerships, and proposal operations to identify, qualify, shape, and win new business opportunities aligned with the Company's strategic priorities. 
  • Establish and maintain a qualified opportunity pipeline, providing executive oversight of opportunity health, capture investments, win probability, and revenue forecasting. 
  • Collaborate with the CEO, executive leadership team, and business unit leaders to develop long-term growth strategies, market entry plans, and customer engagement priorities. 
  • Direct customer engagement activities, including executive briefings, strategic planning sessions, capability demonstrations, and industry events to strengthen customer relationships and expand ITA's market presence. 
  • Partner with technical leadership, solution architects, and subject matter experts to develop differentiated, customer-focused solutions that leverage ITA's technology capabilities, innovation, and mission expertise. 
  • Lead competitive assessments, market intelligence activities, and strategic positioning efforts to identify emerging opportunities, customer priorities, acquisition trends, and competitive differentiators. 
  • Foster strategic teaming relationships with large and small business partners, identifying opportunities to expand capabilities, improve competitiveness, and pursue larger, more complex procurements. 
  • Oversee the development of high-quality proposals, white papers, unsolicited proposals, and strategic communications that clearly articulate ITA's value proposition and technical solutions. 
  • Develop and mature repeatable business development, capture, and pipeline management processes, metrics, and governance that improve forecast accuracy, proposal quality, and overall win rates. 
  • Recruit, develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing Growth organization, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, customer focus, and continuous improvement. 
  • Represent ITA at executive forums, industry associations, conferences, and customer engagements to strengthen the Company's brand, expand strategic relationships, and identify future growth opportunities. 
  • Monitor market conditions, federal budgets, acquisition strategies, and technology trends to anticipate customer needs and proactively position ITA for long-term success. 
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team, providing market intelligence, growth recommendations, investment priorities, and performance insights that support enterprise decision-making. 
  • Hire, train and mentor new Customer Solutions team members to improve overall performance in growth and business development for ITA. 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years of business development, sales, or marketing experience, preferably in the Federal Defense market space. 
  • Proven track record of winning prime contract opportunities using a structured capture process. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must. 
  • An MBA is preferred, but not required. 
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance

 

Desired Experience: 

  • Demonstrated success with submitted proposals that led to awards in multiple markets. 
  • Knowledgeable in the defense mission space, to include utilization of SBIR Phase III contract vehicles. 
  • Diverse and expansive network of contacts in both government and industry organizations. 
  • Proposal and technical writing experience in support of target markets. 
  • Comfortable meeting with new customers and diverse organizations. 
  • Maintain expertise in emerging technologies and market trends to effectively communicate and position ITA's technology-enabled solutions and competitive differentiators. 
  • Experience/knowledge of GovWin or other opportunity research tools.

Base pay range for this position is $176,000 - $247,000 annually.  Total compensation is tied to achievement of the performance targets established in the incentive plan, with direct accountability for revenue generation and attainment of defined growth objectives.

 

This position has a broad compensation range due to varying levels of candidate experience and qualifications.
