Full Job Description

1.0 PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Directs the organization's financial planning and accounting practices as well as its relationship with lending institutions, shareholders, and the financial community by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers.

2.0 DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversees and directs, audit, tax, accounting, long range forecasting, and insurance activities for the organization.

• Directs subordinates in providing and directing procedures necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting controls and services.

• Directs the activities such as custodian of funds, securities, and assets of the organization.

• Appraises the organization's financial position and issues periodic reports on organization's financial stability, liquidity, and growth.

• Directs and coordinates the establishment of budget programs as required.

• Coordinates and consolidates all global tax and financial reporting activities. Travel to global locations to confer with local Controllers.

• Analyzes, consolidates, and directs all cost accounting procedures together with other statistical and routine reports.

• Oversees and directs the preparation and issuance of the corporation's annual reports as required.

• Directs and analyzes studies of general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the organization's policies and operations.

• Analyzes operational issues impacting functional groups and the whole institution and determines their financial impact.

• Evaluates and recommends business partnering opportunities.

• Works with outside consultants concerning Pension Plan, 401 (k) Plan, and Deferred Compensation Plan.

• Works with tax advisors and estate planning firms for the majority stockholders' benefit.

• Establishes and maintains contacts with financial institutions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and counseling employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
