JOB TITLE: Chief Executive Officer
The CEO will partner closely with the Board of Directors to set and execute a clear vision for the organization-strengthening programs, expanding community impact, and ensuring long-term sustainability.
The Leadership Mandate
The CEO will be responsible for leading the organization across three core priorities:
- Organizational Leadership & Strategy: Define and execute a clear strategic direction that advances the mission, strengthens services, and positions Wings of Hope for long-term growth and community impact.
- Sustainability & Resource Development: Ensure strong financial health through effective oversight, diversified funding strategies, and deep relationships with funders, donors, and community partners.
- Community Leadership & Advocacy: Serve as the public face of the organization-building partnerships, increasing awareness, and strengthening coordinated community responses to violence and victimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Board of Directors to align on strategic priorities, organizational performance, and long-term vision
- Lead and develop a high-performing leadership team, fostering a strong and mission-focused organizational culture
- Ensure the operational and financial health of the organization, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance with applicable regulations and funding requirements
- Oversee and strengthen fundraising efforts, including grants, donor engagement, and major events
- Represent Wings of Hope within the community, serving as a trusted voice and advocate across stakeholders and partner organizations
- Drive organizational visibility and impact through effective communication, partnerships, and community engagement
- Ensure strong internal systems, policies, and processes that support ethical, effective, and compliant service delivery
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strategic leadership, operational experience, and a deep commitment to the mission.
Key qualifications include:
- Senior leadership experience in a nonprofit, public service, or mission-driven organization
- Experience leading teams and managing through growth, change, or complexity
- Strong financial and organizational management skills
- Experience with fundraising, grants, and resource development strategies
- Ability to engage and build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including boards, funders, and community partners
- Understanding of domestic violence, sexual assault, or related human services preferred
