A leading general contractor is seeking an experienced
Chief Estimator to lead the estimating team for
large-scale commercial projects across Ohio, including
data centers and major education projects at renowned universities. This role requires expertise in preconstruction, cost analysis, and team leadership to ensure accurate, competitive, and strategic bid preparation.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and mentor a team of estimators in preparing accurate and competitive bids.
- Oversee all aspects of the preconstruction and estimating process, including budgeting, cost analysis, and value engineering.
- Develop and implement estimating strategies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and historical data to prepare detailed estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project costs and scopes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market pricing, and construction methodologies.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in estimating large-scale commercial projects.
- Proven leadership experience in managing an estimating team.
- Strong knowledge of data center and institutional project estimating.
- Proficiency in estimating software and construction cost databases.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
