Full Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineering Team

Examples of key problems the team is working on
  • Take product lines from clean sheet to production. This is an opportunity to reason from first principles. Challenge every industry standard and focus on Speed and Safety.
  • Build Data Center products behind 10 GW a year. Design and productize Data Center modules, switchgear, switchboards, busway, skids, E-Houses, and cooling systems that every Fluidstack building runs.
  • Own the designs, IP, and test campaigns. Full in-house design authority on platforms Fluidstack owns outright, from the first one-line through type testing to factory acceptance.
Role Scope
  • Own the end-to-end design of Fluidstack's integrated MV/LV electrical skids and UPS E-House product lines, from one-lines and base frames to released-for-production drawing packages.
  • Drive both products into production running design, compliance, and factory readiness.
  • Lead a dedicated team that covers electrical, structural, HVAC, and fire protection engineers, backed by assigned drafting and compliance staff from shared engineering services.
  • Work with localization teams to define required design upgrades and particularities: interconnect points, protection interfaces, transport and rigging limits, and seismic anchorage.
  • Work with third party authorized vendors to deliver a consistent product across Fluidstack's data center fleet.

What We're Looking For

The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.
  • You've taken packaged electrical equipment (skids, E-Houses, PDCs, or integrated power assemblies) from concept through production release as the single accountable engineer.
  • You've owned designs that span electrical, structural, and mechanical disciplines and made the cross-discipline tradeoffs yourself instead of arbitrating between silos.
  • You've designed to UL 891 or UL 1558 assembly requirements and NFPA fire protection standards on equipment an AHJ had to accept.
  • You've stood on a factory floor and made the ship-or-hold call on a unit based on test results you witnessed yourself.
  • You've led a design team of ten or more through a compressed release schedule without letting a quality gate slip.
  • You write specifications and drawing packages precise enough that a manufacturer builds the right thing on the first pass.

We are committed to pay equity and transparency.
