Key Responsibilities
Supporting Urethane Cast Processes
Serving as POC on Manufacturing Engineering Team for both urethane hand casting and processor casting.
Troubleshooting and resolving issues with urethane casting across several different casting methods.
Evaluating current manufacturing processes to identify variables that influence inefficiencies, non-conformances, and the process at large.
Developing controls to maintain a consistent and cost-effective casting manufacturing process.
Supporting the manufacturing floor by seeking to maintain a safe and efficient workplace.
Periodically reviewing of a variety of processes, procedures, and work instructions for improvements.
Leading of improvement projects focused on increasing accuracy and throughput of quality inspection.
Maintaining a data driven mindset to approach problems from a quantitative first view.
Working with other departments (sales, production planning, finance, maintenance, etc.) as well as communicating with customers to gain a firm understanding of contract requirements to meet customer needs in a timely and efficient manner.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to understand and work with chemical processing equipment and able to troubleshoot issues with material flow, density, pressure, and temperature.
Ability to read, interpret and analyze customer and industry specifications
Excellent communication skills and able to interact with diverse groups at different skill and educational levels.
Experience with equipment gauges such as flow meters, pressure gauges, temperature probes, load cells, level monitoring equipment, etc.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
BS in Chemical engineering
2-5 years of related work experience in manufacturing and/or project management.
Experience in process engineering, including work instruction generation, process development and diagrams, and process flow.
Previous experience in specifying and onboarding new equipment.
Prior work experience with elastomers, urethane casting & machining, thermoplastics or epoxy resins is desired.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to walk through a large manufacturing environment.
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Constantly communicating with others to exchange information.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Majority of work is performed in a manufacturing environment with noise levels within safety limits and acceptable lighting and temperature conditions.
TRAVEL:
Minimal, may be required on a rare occasion.
