- Under direct supervision, creates chemical formulations, processes, and equipment for chemical process facilities, water treatment plants, hazardous waste treatment and related industrial applications of basic complexity to meet client project requirements.
- Reviews draft designs for compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
- Performs site reviews and studies, hydraulic calculations, process flow diagrams, heat and material balances, P&IDs, PSV sizing, equipment and vessel specification/selection and process modeling as needed, to ensure designs are aligned with location specifications.
- Updates design requirements as necessary.
- Performs other duties as required.
Skills & AbilitiesBasic Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices. Basic Knowledge of engineer principles of design. Knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.). Good written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering or related discipline. 0 years. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
