Responsibility includes participation in the hiring, orientating, developing, scheduling, and managing the performance of assigned staff CRNAs. The Supervisor-CRNA assists in the development, implementation and monitoring of budgets, quality improvement programs, staffing levels, goals, objectives, regulatory compliance, and the policies within the department. Responsible to maintain clinical license and practice 40% of the time clinically, and work 60% of the time administratively, with additional flexibility as needed depending on daily operational needs.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Graduation from an accredited school of anesthesia.
- Four (4) years of experience working as a staff CRNA.
- Previous supervisory experience working within a tertiary medical center preferred. Ability to work harmoniously in collaborative situations with anesthesiologists and other health care providers.
- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- License as a Registered Nurse in the state of in Michigan.
- License as a Nurse Anesthetist in the state of Michigan.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
- Experience in academic medical centers
