Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team of rehabilitation professionals in North Miami Beach, Florida. As a vital member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in helping our patients achieve their maximum potential and regain independence.
Responsibilities:- Assist Occupational Therapists (OTs) in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients
- Conduct occupational therapy treatment sessions under the supervision of an OT, focusing on activities of daily living, mobility, and cognitive function
- Monitor and document patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure optimal care and outcomes
- Participate in interprofessional team conferences and contribute to the development of comprehensive care plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient treatment and progress

- Ability to lift, transfer, or move patients as needed; ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
