OBGYN MIDWIFE HOSPITALIST IN ORLANDO

The Orlando Health Medical Group (OHMG) invites you to explore a full-time OBGYN Midwife Hospitalist opportunity at the nation's premier dedicated women's hospital, Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies! The OHMG Women's Service Line is seeking a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) to provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care for diverse members of our central Florida community, principally providing coverage services to private practice providers. The hospitalist group serves as a part of the Orlando Health Women's Institute structured as an exclusively hospital-based model with time spent at the Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies, Lake Mary Hospital, and South Lake Hospital!

Clinical opportunities include labor and delivery, postpartum care, and comprehensive clinical care in our Women's Triage unit.   • Full time CNMs enjoy a flexible monthly schedule of 14 clinical twelve-hour shifts (variable shifts) in a calendar month.
  • Ability to pick up additional shifts. No on-call!

Qualifications

Education/Training:
  • Master's degree (or higher) from a program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME).

Licensure/Certification:
  • Certified as a Certified Nurse-Midwife by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) renewed every five (5) years in compliance with the AMCB recertification methods (Certificate Maintenance Program vs. Reexamination).
  • Ability to obtain an active licensure in Florida as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a qualification of Certified Nurse-Midwife renewed every two (2) years in compliance with the Florida Board of Nursing.
  • Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification; and NRP certification.
  • Experience
  • Two (2) years of experience as a practicing Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM); candidates who do not meet this requirement but have a strong midwifery/nursing background (within the specialty) may be considered.
  • Preferred experience with first assisting in surgical procedures; candidates who do not meet this requirement but exhibit a willingness to learn this skill will be considered.
