GFT is seeking a CEI Sr. Inspector to join our Construction Services Team in Fort Pierce, FL! This role requires regular attendance at our Fort Pierceoffice.

What you'll be challenged to do:

This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced candidate with a minimum of 6 years' professional experience in construction of manufacturing plants, water/wastewater facilities, transportation facilities, and/or infrastructure, to join a collaborative team environment. This role inspects and oversees construction work to ensure that results, procedures and materials comply with plans and specifications. This role will serve as a daily point of contact with clients and contractors, and manage all aspects of a project including construction observations, material testing and maintaining documentation.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Verify levels, alignment, and elevation of installations.
• Prepare samples of materials for laboratory testing.
• Examine workmanship of finished installations for conformity to standard and approves installation.
• Interpret plans and specifications for Contractor and discuss deviations from specified construction procedures to ensure compliance with regulations governing construction.
• Record quantities of materials received or used during specified periods, develop pay estimates and change orders.
• Maintain daily log of construction and inspection activities and compare progress reports.
• Monitor several types of work activity.
• Maintain construction safety practices and work methods for compliance
• Manage documents using electronic platforms such as e-Builder, or Procore

What you will bring to our firm:

• High school diploma.
• 6+ years progressive experience in construction of manufacturing plants, water/wastewater facilities, transportation facilities, and/or infrastructure
• A safety-first mindset.
• Strong writing, listening and communication skills.

• ACI Field Inspector and Troxler Nuclear Density Guage Certifications
• Ability to work collaboratively with peers, clients and contractors to solve problems and conflicts.

Core Business Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Employment Status: Full-Time
Salary Range: $35.00 - $45.00 per/hour
Salary dependent upon experience and geographic location
