Full Job Description
GFT is seeking a CEI Sr. Inspector to join our Construction Services Team in Fort Pierce, FL! This role requires regular attendance at our Fort Pierceoffice.

What you'll be challenged to do:

This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced candidate with a minimum of 6 years' professional experience in construction of manufacturing plants, water/wastewater facilities, transportation facilities, and/or infrastructure, to join a collaborative team environment. The role highlights a customer-focused mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional quality and results on every project. This role inspects and oversees construction work to ensure that results, procedures and materials comply with plans and specifications. This role will serve as a daily point of contact with clients and contractors, and manage all aspects of a project including construction observations, material testing and maintaining documentation.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
  • Verify levels, alignment, and elevation of installations.
  • Prepare samples of materials for laboratory testing.
  • Examine workmanship of finished installations for conformity to standard and approves installation.
  • Interpret plans and specifications for Contractor and discuss deviations from specified construction procedures to ensure compliance with regulations governing construction.
  • Record quantities of materials received or used during specified periods, develop pay estimates and change orders.
  • Maintain daily log of construction and inspection activities and compare progress reports.
  • Monitor several types of work activity.
  • Maintain construction safety practices and work methods for compliance
  • Manage documents using electronic platforms such as e-Builder, or Procore


What you will bring to our firm:
  • High school diploma.
  • 6+ years progressive experience in construction of manufacturing plants, water/wastewater facilities, transportation facilities, and/or infrastructure
  • A safety-first mindset.
  • Strong writing, listening and communication skills.

  • ACI Field Inspector and Troxler Nuclear Density Guage Certifications
  • Ability to work collaboratively with peers, clients and contractors to solve problems and conflicts.

Core Business Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Employment Status: Full-Time
Salary Range: $35.00 - $45.00 per/hour
