Job Description
CDM Smith's CEI team in Columbia is seeking a CEI Roadway and Bridge Transportation Engineer that will: - Assist with construction inspection activities at various transportation infrastructure construction projects such as roadway, bridge, drainage, erosion & control, and maintenance and traffic field site locations. - Maintain relationships with clients and contractors to ensure construction activities are on schedule and meeting contract requirements. - Estimate manpower needs, schedule, and assign work to meet completion date deadlines set by client. - Assist with coordination of the work for field inspection staff. - Participate in new business development and maintain existing client relationships. - Assist in developing and implementing new strategies to enhance our CEI capabilities. - Keep abreast of new methods and developments affecting CDM Smith and recommend changes to current programs or implement new programs warranted by new developments.
Skills & Abilities
Basic Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices. Basic Knowledge of engineer principles of design. Knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.). Good verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil, transportation, or Structural Engineering or related discipline. 0 years. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

An appropriate and valid driver's license is required.
Pay Range Min
USD $63,835.00
Pay Range Max
USD $105,310.00
Additional Pay Range Information
CDM Smith is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This pay range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. In addition to geographic location, a candidate's salary is determined by several other factors including, but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.
Additional Compensation
All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
