Full Job Description
Position Purpose:
• Performs all duties of a registered nurse in the Interventional Radiology (IR), Cardiology, Nuclear Medicine, Cardiac Cath Lab, and EP Lab, as assigned by the department.
• Serves as liaison for student clinical affiliations for nursing schools and cardiovascular programs.
• Maintains excellent relationships and adheres to contractual agreements with affiliating academic institutions.
• Ensures provision of a robust learning environment to promote the development of competent Cath Lab nurses.
• Demonstrates commitment to mission, vision and values of Sinai Health System, as well as the nursing profession.
Education and Work Experience:
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required, Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
• Six months of clinical experience in one of the following areas is required, preferably in CCU, ED, Adult, Critical
Care, or Telemetry
Knowledge and Skills:
• Experience in EPIC and MEDITECH software systems preferred.
Certifications/Licenses:
• Licensed Professional Nurse by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 90 days of employment
