About the roleAs the Category Development Manager, Walmart, you will report to the Category Director and play a critical role in driving category growth through strategic insights, analytics, and collaboration. You will leverage data, shopper understanding, and commercial expertise to identify opportunities, influence decisions, and develop category strategies that create value for Walmart and our organization.
This role requires a strong foundation in Walmart category management, a passion for uncovering insights, and the ability to translate complex data into compelling, actionable recommendations. The successful candidate is naturally curious, shopper-focused, collaborative, and motivated by continuous learning and innovation.
You will serve as a trusted category expert, partnering closely with the sales team, cross-functional stakeholders, and internal business partners to shape category strategies, execute key initiatives, and deliver measurable results.

Your responsibilities- Analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and growth recommendations.
- Develop category insights and Omni Channel strategies aligned with retailer priorities.
- Support business planning, assortment, merchandising, and go-to-market initiatives.
- Partner cross-functionally to execute strategies and track performance.
- Build and influence stakeholder relationships.
The experience we're looking for- Bachelor's degree required.
- 3+ years of Walmart category management experience.
- Strong stakeholder influence and cross-functional collaboration.
- Data-driven with strong analytical skills.
- Customer relationship management experience.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and syndicated data tools.Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Organized, adaptable and self-motivated.
