Location: The Sanctuary - Outpatient Center - 8960 Colonial Center Drive Fort Myers FL 33905

Department: Cardiovascular Services

Work Type: Full Time

Shift: Shift 1/7:30:00 AM to 4:00:00 PM

Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate: $35.17 - $45.73 / hour

Vascular Sonographer Responsibilities:

  • Performs high-quality diagnostic vascular ultrasound procedures fixed and mobile according to the policy and procedures that are provided by the cardiovascular department.
  • A Level 2 (primary vascular) sonographer must be specialized in vascular ultrasound testing with a valid vascular registry and currently practicing independently.
  • Assist the providers with designated diagnostic exams. Interacts with medical staff and other outside entities regarding ultrasound matters.
  • Must be proficient in vascular exams to include but not limited to carotid, venous, arterial, abdominal visceral, hemodialysis duplex, and physiological exams.
  • Assists vascular surgeons in EVLT procedures.
  • May transport non-narcotic medications as directed. Works positively with all customers to promote patient, employee, and physician satisfaction.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in staff/student orientation training.


Requirements

Education: Graduated from accredited or ARRT approved ultrasound program.

Experience:2 years vascular ultrasound experience required. General computer skills as needed.

Certification: BLS (American Heart Association/Basic Life Support) required. Registered with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in Vascular Technology (RVT) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International in Vascular Ultrasound (RVS).
