Job SummaryMohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our surgical team. This full-time, hospital-employed position offers the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team that is committed to delivering exceptional surgical care and improving patient outcomes. The selected physician will be joining two full-time, experienced cardiothoracic surgeons, providing a strong foundation of clinical expertise, mentorship, and collaborative support within the program.
Position Highlights- Competitive Compensation & Benefits Package
- Guaranteed Base Salary: $725,000-$900,000
- Sign-on bonus up to $150,000
- $50,000 fellowship stipend
- Relocation reimbursement up to $25,000

- 250 cases per year covering Cardiac Surgery only

Education/Experience RequirementsREQUIRED:- Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) and successful completion of a residency and internship.
- Experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified, which may include residency in a directly related medical specialty.
- Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care.
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
- Knowledge of community medical diagnostic and patient care services in area of medical expertise.
- Ability to supervise, advise, and train clinical professionals and/or students in area of expertise.
- Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients in correct usage.
- Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops.
- Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment in area of expertise.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
- Ability to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Licensure/Certification RequirementsREQUIRED:- Current NYS Certification/Licensure
- Federal DEA Certification
- Board certified or Board Eligible in Specified Area of Medical Specialty, Medical Specialty License or Certification if applicable
