Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
• Preferred one year experience as a Scrub Assistant in cardiac catheterization or structural heart lab.
• Current RT licensure in Massachusetts, with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists registration.
• BLS certification and ACLS certification required.
• Post-primary certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Cardiac/Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology is preferred.
• Candidates must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or provide an exemption statement.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical patient care and technical duties in the cardiac cath lab or structural heart.
• Take responsibility for patient assessments and correlate findings with procedures.
• Assist interventional cardiologists during cardiac catheterization and structural heart procedures.
• Document hemodynamic and angiographic data in the hemodynamic system and EPIC.
• Educate patients about their procedures.
• Select technical parameters to produce quality images while adhering to ALARA principles.
• Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary care team.
