OverviewThe minimum and maximum projected annualized salary for this position is: $80,825.00 to $129,322.00. Additional compensation may be possible based on experience and skills.
Responsibilities
The Capital Markets & Syndications Analyst will join a newly established department responsible for expanding the Bank's syndicated lending and capital markets capabilities. Working directly with the SVP, Director of Capital Markets & Syndications, this individual will help build infrastructure, execute transactions, develop financial institution relationships, support the Bank's growing derivatives platform, and contribute to strategic initiatives that support the Bank's long-term growth objectives. Unlike a traditional analyst role at a larger institution, this position offers significant visibility, responsibility, and exposure across all aspects of capital markets and syndicated lending. The successful candidate will play an important role in helping the Bank scale its capabilities as it continues its growth trajectory.
Major duties and responsibilities:
- Support the syndication, closing, and ongoing administration of C&I and CRE loan transactions.
- Prepare transaction materials including Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs), lender presentations, executive summaries, and other marketing materials.
- Coordinate due diligence, lender outreach, participant feedback, documentation, and closing activities for syndicated transactions.
- Provide underwriting support and industry research.
- Collaborate closely with relationship managers, portfolio managers, legal counsel, borrowers, and participant banks.
- Maintain a database of bank partners and monitor syndicated loan market activity, pricing trends, and competitive intelligence.
- Serve as administrator for virtual data rooms, ensuring transaction materials, compliance reporting, and participant communications are comprehensive, timely, and accurate.
- Support the continued growth of the Bank's commercial derivatives platform, including pipeline tracking, reporting, and client-facing materials.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in finance, business, economics, accounting or related field
- Formal Credit Training or web-based training preferred or successfully complete assigned Omega (or other assigned vendor) courses in first 90 days in role.
- 4 years Experience in commercial banking, credit underwriting, portfolio management, capital markets, syndicated lending, corporate banking, or a related discipline.
- Good communication skills
- General knowledge of credit underwriting, including cash flow and collateral analysis
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong logic and math skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and project management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
