Opportunity
PeopleTec is currently seeking a C2BMC and BOA Advanced Technology Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location.
Duties:
Responsible for assessing new technologies for C2BMC/ BOA.
Work closely with C2BMC and BOA Advanced Development Government Team Lead, other Advance Development team members, and FFRDCs in assessing and developing technologies, and formulating strategies to transition C2BMC/BOA technologies to enable more efficient and effective MDS capabilities.
Coordinate actions with MDA stakeholders, external laboratories, FFRDCs, and UARCs to integrate promising technologies into the MDS.
Identify and coordinate transition plans to migrate proven capabilities into applicable C2BMC/BOA Future Spirals.
Perform analysis and trade studies; identify risks; formulate requirements for C2BMC/BOA Advanced Development.
Assist program manager in all acquisition actions to get contractors on contract, coordinate to obtain all required Government Furnished Equipment and Information, and assess overall contractor performance.
Individual must be self-motivated, possess strong oral and written communication skills, and have the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience:
Must have 12-15+ years experience as an engineer developing capabilities for a major DOW program that encompasses the total life cycle development of operational/tactical hardware and software.
Prefer some experience in Technology Roadmap development, Command and Control system development, kill assessment, cloud migration, and/or data mesh development and testing.
Must have some experience with missile defense systems.
Travel: Approximately 5% of time. Travel will include trips to Colorado Springs, CO; Laurel, Maryland; and Boston, MA
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment. Current Top Secret/SCI is preferred.
Education Requirements:
Must have B.S. in an engineering or science field.
Must have an M.S. STEM Degree.
Desired Skills:
Experience writing or reviewing technical proposals.
Knowledgeable of software acquisition strategies, best practices, and lessons learned from software development efforts for major weapon system procurements within DoW.
Ability to assess maturity of software code and overall Technology Readiness Levels.
Familiarity with exploitation of artificial intelligence, modeling and simulation tools, and knowledge of verification/validation/accreditation procedures.
Experience with model-based systems engineering, modular open systems architecture development, DevSecOps, and cloud migration to include use of COTS/GOTS software.
