Full Job Description
Software Developer (C#)

Location: Fort Belvoir, VA (telework eligible; system- and project-specific)

Employment Type: Full-time

Clearance: Active DoD Secret clearance required

Inventium.io is searching for a C# Software Developer to join our team at Fort Belvoir, VA. Our Software Developers use agile software development methodology to develop and maintain enterprise applications, utilizing an Oracle backend with PL/SQL-based database programming and user interface programming in C#.

How You Will Make a Difference
  • Provide software development programming, design, integration, documentation, configuration management, testing, release, and user support for all program software and system engineering.
  • Develop and maintain applications in accordance with current CMMI for Development Level 3 standards.
  • Develop software tools to support testing, analysis, and data management.
  • Provide software maintenance to ensure continued operational capability of the test systems software.
  • Ensure software development plans include standards, configuration management, quality assurance, and lifecycle processes.
  • Develop lifecycle artifacts to support Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) of the software by any designated outside organization.
  • Provide sustainment for currently fielded software and accomplish software redesign as required.
  • Attend and participate in system requirements, design, and milestone reviews
  • Ensure user sites are continuously operational and that fielded maintenance upgrades fully meet user needs.
  • Ensure currently fielded legacy systems remain fully operational while changes are being made to the software, and that legacy and updated sites operate as software updates are fielded.
  • Ensure system maintenance and redesign are accomplished with minimal disruption at user locations.
  • Explore and document potential additional hardware and software test enhancements in anticipation of upgrades to the next release.
  • Perform and provide guidance on all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Provide guidance to less-experienced software developers in creating models and diagrams that show programmers the software code needed for an application.
  • Perform and provide guidance on software updates, refinement, testing, and debugging to meet business needs.
  • Provide relevant analysis for reports on software project specifications, activities, and status.
  • Thoroughly document software and system processes for future maintenance and updates.
  • Develop new features using WPF with the PRISM framework.
  • Work directly with customers to gather requirements and design windows and views based on concept designs.

Qualifications

Required:
  • BS degree and 5+ years of relevant experience; additional years of experience, certifications, and training may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Experience with C#, Oracle/SQL, and Git source control.
  • Experience with Oracle databases, PL/SQL, and SQL for application data interaction.
  • Experience with WPF and the PRISM framework.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and the Git Flow branching model.
  • Experience using Fortify, SonarLint, or other static code analysis scanners.
  • Experience applying secure defensive coding practices in C# application development.

Preferred:
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
