The Business/System Analyst II will support project-based initiatives and ongoing workforce data, reporting, and analytics needs. This hands-on role requires strong technical capabilities and analytical insight to build and troubleshoot data solutions, interpret workforce trends, develop actionable insights, and translate data into clear recommendations that support business decision-making. The role involves working with HR and workforce data and collaborating across HR, Finance, IT, enterprise data teams, business functions, and external vendors to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and deliver scalable data solutions independently.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the Workday Data Cloud implementation from project kickoff, partnering with HRIS, IT, enterprise data teams, business data owners, and external vendors.
• Define priority workforce datasets, source systems, required fields, business definitions, data ownership, and analytics use cases.
• Inventory and assess internal and vendor-managed systems connecting to Data Cloud, coordinating data access, mapping, connectivity, and source-system readiness.
• Support data modeling, transformation logic, governance, lineage, testing, and documentation.
• Help establish a scalable workforce data foundation that reduces manual data movement and enables integrated cross-functional analytics.
• Support recurring and ad hoc data audits, reconciliations, and reporting requests for Connected Workplace 2.0.
• Validate source data, business logic, calculations, and reporting outputs.
• Investigate discrepancies and coordinate resolution across HRIS, IT, Corporate Security, and other data owners.
• Support reporting enhancements and data quality improvements.
• Perform required manual data refreshes and validation for GAC reporting and data automation while automation work continues.
• Continue automation of existing connectors, including SmartRecruiters.
• Troubleshoot data loads, transformations, and reporting dependencies.
• Transition recurring manual processes toward reliable, scalable automated solutions.
• Perform ongoing manual refreshes and data validation for the DEI Dashboard.
• Audit the current DEI Dashboard data feed and prepare for transition to a Workday-based connection.
• Reconcile source data and business logic and support testing and cutover activities.
• Connect and validate required Workday and SmartRecruiters data sources for the SmartRecruiters Integration Audit Dashboard.
• Establish join logic, identifiers, business rules, and exception handling across systems.
• Build and enhance audit reporting to identify data gaps, mismatches, and integration issues.
• Document source data, business logic, refresh processes, and data ownership.
• Respond to day-to-day workforce data, reporting, audit, and analytical requests from HR and business stakeholders.
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies and reporting issues across systems and functions.
• Produce analyses and insights that help stakeholders understand workforce trends and support business decisions.
• Support existing dashboards, recurring reporting, data feeds, and analytics processes while identifying opportunities for simplification and automation.
• Communicate effectively with senior business stakeholders and technical teams, translating functional requirements into technical solutions.
• Proactively engage data owners, functional leaders, IT partners, and vendors to gather requirements, resolve issues, and drive work to completion.
• Translate data into clear, decision-relevant insights rather than simply delivering reports or datasets.
• Work independently, manage multiple concurrent priorities, identify risks early, and balance immediate operational needs with long-term scalability and automation.
Required Qualifications
• Strong technical capabilities across Workday, Power BI, SQL, data modeling, integrations, and workforce data.
• Significant experience working with HR and workforce data across HR, Finance, and other enterprise functions.
• Understanding of how workforce information is created, governed, integrated, and used across enterprise systems.
• Experience with data validation, reconciliation, data quality analysis, reporting, and troubleshooting.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions and analytical insights.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to collaborate with senior business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple concurrent priorities, identify risks proactively, and drive tasks to completion.
