As a Business Services Officer III, youll guide some of Truliants largest and most complex commercial relationships, pairing advanced credit judgment with thoughtful, full-service financial solutions. What youll do
You2ll own sophisticated commercial real estate relationships from initial opportunity through closing and ongoing portfolio management. Working with credit, legal, operations, and partners across Truliant, you2ll structure sound solutions, grow profitable relationships, protect portfolio quality, and help strengthen the capabilities of the broader commercial banking team.
Day to day, you2ll:
- Lead complex commercial real estate opportunities, including borrower analysis, structuring, pricing, negotiation, credit presentation, documentation coordination, closing support, and ongoing relationship management.
- Build and expand high-value relationships through disciplined business development, market outreach, centers of influence, and collaboration with branch, deposit, treasury, SBA, consumer, mortgage, wealth, and other internal partners.
- Monitor complex portfolios for performance, covenant compliance, concentration risk, financial reporting, annual reviews, and emerging credit concerns while mentoring lenders and contributing to lending strategy, policy, products, and process improvements.
What you2ll bring
You2re an accomplished commercial real estate lender who can balance growth, member service, relationship profitability, and disciplined risk management. You communicate clearly with borrowers and senior stakeholders, exercise sound judgment with limited supervision, and bring structure to complex transactions.
Required Experience
- 12+ years of progressively responsible commercial real estate lending experience, including financial statement and collateral analysis, complex loan structuring and approval, management of large or complex portfolios, new relationship growth, and presentation of larger credit requests to senior credit authorities or a loan committee.
- Demonstrated experience serving as a senior resource or mentor to other lenders.
Required Skills
- Advanced knowledge of investor and owner-occupied commercial real estate lending, including structuring, pricing, negotiation, underwriting partnership, covenant development, collateral analysis, guarantor evaluation, and ongoing credit management.
- Ability to evaluate borrower financial condition, repayment sources, collateral, credit risk, and relationship profitability and translate findings into clear recommendations and risk-mitigation strategies.
- Strong business-development, presentation, written and verbal communication, executive-level influence, negotiation, and cross-functional partnership skills.
- Ability to organize complex work, manage competing priorities, maintain close attention to detail, and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Education/Certifications
- Bachelor2s degree, or equivalent experience, in Business, Finance, or a related field.
You should also be comfortable influencing without direct authority, working with team members at different levels of the organization, adapting priorities as business needs change, and maintaining a strong commitment to excellent member service.
