Business Operations Supervisor

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Services Supervisor to lead daily office operations, case support functions, and team development across a fast-paced, professional services environment. This role requires a hands-on leader who can build efficient systems and ensure a high-quality workplace experience. This is a hybrid role, that will require in-office presence 4-5 days per week for the first three months, with occasional evenings and weekends required based on business.

What You'll Own
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of office services coordinators
  • Conduct regular performance check-ins, development conversations, and training initiatives for direct reports
  • Build and maintain SOPs and training materials to ensure consistency and operational standards across the team
  • Oversee day-to-day administrative and records management functions
  • Review, modernize, and build scalable processes and procedures
  • Manage through high-volume and peak seasons, including surge planning and rapid resource allocation to meet shifting demands
  • Serve as first point of contact for ad-hoc operational issues, triaging and resolving with urgency and good judgment
  • Maintain a welcoming, well-organized front office environment, delivering exceptional hospitality to every visitor and employee who walks through the door
  • Plan and execute office events and catering, from team gatherings to larger firm-wide programming, including hands-on setup and breakdown
  • Support Facilities with supply chain management, inventory control, and coordination of deliveries
  • Support space planning including moves, seating allocation, floor plan updates, and stakeholder coordination
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with attorneys, team managers, and supervisors across the firm, acting as a reliable and trusted resource for workplace needs
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with IT on equipment setup, office builds, and hybrid workspace needs
  • Serve as liaison for business continuity planning, safety protocols, and security training
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute office events end-to-end, from intimate team gatherings to large-scale office-wide programming, managing logistics, timelines, and vendor coordination throughout
  • Support and co-execute external events, client briefings, and community panels, serving as on-site host and point of contact for guests and speakers
  • Manage event setup, breakdown, and real-time troubleshooting to ensure smooth execution regardless of event size or complexity
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders across departments to align on event goals, space needs, attendance, and communications

Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years in office management, workplace operations, or a related field; law firm or professional services experience strongly preferred
  • At least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role with a track record of developing people
  • Experience building and documenting processes, SOPs, and training materials
  • Experience planning and executing events of varying size and complexity
  • Hands-on approach to facilities, space organization, and operational precision
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure
  • A self-starter who takes ownership, follows through, and proactively communicates
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of an organization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint Lists, and Teams is required


Compensation:

The salary range for this role reflects a variety of factors considered in compensation decisions, including but not limited to an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, work location, work arrangement, licensure and certifications, and applicable laws. Placement within the range will vary based on these factors, and compensation decisions are made to ensure internal equity and alignment with market data.

A reasonable and good-faith estimate of the current salary range for individuals able to work a hybrid schedule in the office locally is:

$96,000.00 - $114,000.00
