Leverage broad expertise in marketing, optical operations, and revenue cycle management to conduct initial assessments of business performance, with a primary focus on P&L analysis. Identify high level opportunities and challenges across multiple domains and facilitate connections between members and specialized advisors for deeper niche support. Collaborate with internal colleagues to deliver education, resources, and tools that enhance member experience, boost engagement, and drive positive outcomes. Provide actionable feedback that addresses member needs, ensuring satisfaction and long-term retention.
Conduct initial reviews of member P&L statements to assess overall business health and identify areas for further exploration.
Utilize comprehensive knowledge in practice management, staffing, and optical operations to recognize patterns, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Present summary dashboards and reports that visualize key financial and operational metrics, comparing findings to industry benchmarks.
Advise members on general business strategies and recommend next steps for deeper analysis in marketing, optical, or revenue cycle domains.
Collaborate with specialized team members to ensure seamless handoff and continuity of support for members requiring niche expertise.
Provide feedback and resources to improve workflow, optimize performance, and reduce costs at a high level.
Research and develop broad recommendations based on specific business unit and/or practice needs.
Deliver data driven insights by analyzing key metrics and trends to inform decision making.
Teach or facilitate training sessions, present webinars, and create content articles on general business topics.
Job Specifications
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or other related fields or equivalent experience.
6+ years of experience in business operations, with substantial exposure to optometric practices.
Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of an optometric practice.
Capable of performing business assessments and identifying areas for deeper analysis and/or profit opportunities.
Analytical and strategic problem solver and decision maker showing balanced consideration of business issues, risks, and rewards.
Ability to elicit cooperation, motivate others, and drive results without direct authority.
Strong business aptitude to support envisioning work, strategic planning, and measuring results.
Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills to address groups and facilitate discussions.
For roles that are remote (i.e., Work From Home (WFH)) or hybrid (i.e., partial onsite at a VSP location and WFH), must demonstrate a high level of engagement in virtual environments, including maintaining camera presence during meetings to support effective communication and team alignment

Salary Ranges: $84,000.00 - $141,750.00
