Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of business development for the firm's highly regarded Debt Finance, Structured Finance, and Financial Institutions Group (FIG) practices across the Americas. The role supports these practices—from transactional finance to FIG regulatory matters—as well as related client industry groups such as Digital Assets and Capital Solutions & Private Credit, and collaborates closely with lawyers and Business Development colleagues across offices and regions. Working alongside practice leadership, lawyers, the practice Business Development team, and the broader Global BDMC team, the Business Development Senior Coordinator will help execute growth strategies, deepen client relationships, and raise the firm's profile across key markets and industry sectors.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with senior BD team members on global and local cross-selling and client targeting efforts, including as they relate to the firm's key client program and related client industry groups such as Digital Assets and Capital Solutions & Private Credit.
  • Prepare pitches and RFP responses, directory and award submissions, and develop and maintain practice group credentials and other relevant materials, ensuring that each is thoughtfully tailored to the specific opportunity at hand.
  • Ensure attorney pitch biographies are kept up to date.
  • Liaise with the Events team to plan and execute external events, seminars, and webinars, and assist with conference and industry sponsorships and road shows.
  • Collaborate with the Competitive Intelligence team to conduct research on existing and prospective clients, competitor activity, firm/client connections, and industry or market trends to help drive strategic decisions and create revenue opportunities.
  • Attend practice group and client team meetings, develop agendas, document key takeaways, and drive follow-up on agreed actions.
  • Coordinate with teams across PR/Comms, Marketing, Content Strategies, and Digital to ensure a seamless process that will help raise the profile of the firm and these practices.
  • Maintain and update BD activities, mailing lists, and practice experience in the firm's CRM and experience management systems, and proactively utilize market intelligence platforms and AI-enabled tools to support client research, competitive intelligence, and pitch development.
  • Support BD teams in other practice groups and regions on projects and other firm initiatives as needed.
Qualifications

This role is ideal for a high-energy, ambitious self-starter who can support the Business Development Manager and serve as a reliable day-to-day resource for lawyers in the Debt Finance, Structured Finance, and FIG practices. • A minimum of three years of relevant business development experience in a professional services firm.
  • Excellent analytical and research skills, with the ability to synthesize and summarize information from a wide variety of sources clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships across functions, levels, and geographies.
  • Extraordinary attention to detail, with the ability to juggle and prioritize competing demands and deliver under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • A genuine interest in developing strong substantive knowledge of the supported practices and markets.
Preferred
  • Knowledge of, or experience with, Debt Finance, Structured Finance, and/or financial institutions regulatory matters—or a strong drive and demonstrated ability to learn them quickly.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience writing pitches and proposals.
  • Corporate law firm experience.
