Full Job Description
The Business Development Representative is responsible for creating and maintaining customer relationships and driving sales bookings for both NuWaves' standard Product lines and Engineering Design Services. Working directly with the Director of Business Development to achieve strategic goals, this position is critical in growing the sales pipeline and building key business relationships for long term results. Success in this role is defined by working cross-domain with Production, Contracts, Project Management, Engineering, and Leadership to deliver quotes, provide customer support, assess business opportunities, understand customer requirements (cost, schedule, performance, contracts), and provide support for proposals, while positioning NuWaves products and services to align with customer needs. This role will explore potential business opportunities in various military and DoD markets and industries through market research, trade shows/conference attendance, client visits, and leveraging NuWaves existing customer base. This person preferably has a direct background in the military/DoD or has experience in this industry to support the relationship building and understanding of industry challenges, acquisition, funding, and the companies competing in these markets. A customer relationship management tool will be used to track all customer engagements, submissions, and activities. This person is expected to maintain and keep up to date the customer relationship management tool. Being a team-player that can quickly change priorities to support teammates will be expected. This role is both strategic and tactical, focused on day to day customer support but also strategizing on what it takes to win. YEAR 1 ACCOUNTABILITIES AND METRICS
  • Taking a customer completely through NuWaves sales cycle (start to finish)
  • Create and maintain customer relationships.
  • Achieve $500k in bookings in 1 year.
  • Attend 2 conferences.
  • Attend 5 customer visits (off-site).
  • Bring in 2 services opportunities for bidding.
  • Work internally with engineering and capture lead on 2 opportunities.
  • Bid on 2 custom product opportunities.
  • Identify 100 leads to target for new/existing opportunities.
  • Understand Strengths and Challenges of all domains/functions within NuWaves.
  • Give NuWaves Capability Presentation to 5 customers.
  • Properly use Salesforce for managing opportunities, quotes, sales orders, tasks, and client relationships.
  • Build key relationships internally with Production, Project Management, Engineering, Contracts, & Marketing.
  • Understand and be able to pitch NuWaves product lines and services and the value that they provide to the customer.
  • Understand NuWaves costs and pricing variables for both products and services.
  • Setup and work the booth at 1 conference.
  • Complete 8 Black hat review score cards.
  • Lead 1 Green Team Review.
  • Lead 1 Gold Team Review.
  • Lead 1 White Glove Review.
  • Develop win strategies for opportunities.

Salary Range: $80K - $100K annually

U.S. Citizenship is a requirement.
