Description

About this role:

The Business Development Officer will secure new clients for the Bank by developing and maintaining a strong banking relationship.

In this role you will:
  • Support the Bank's "People First" focus and rules of engagement-maintaining a professional demeanor, working as an active member of the CNOB team, providing all clients excellent service, always striving to make CNOB "A Better Place to Be".
  • Generate and develop new business relationships through networking, building relationships with referral sources, and prospecting.
  • Determine which financial products/structure best meet the client's needs and financial circumstances.
  • Support the Bank's strong relationship banking culture through on-going client contact, quality client service and superior product knowledge.
  • Maintain close client contact though entire transaction process, from application to closing, routine contact with client to ensure CNOB is exceeding their expectations.
  • Assist underwriting team by submitting a complete application package; monitoring the progress of the application, working to resolve any issues that may emerge with borrowing requests.
  • Ensure all accounts and transactions are in compliance with operational, security and control procedures of the Bank, preventing fraud and protecting customer assets.
  • Conduct sales presentations with prospective and existing clients as well as community groups.
Must haves:
  • Strong "People First" interest and ability.
  • Knowledge of relevant Federal and State banking regulations.
  • Familiarity with Bank security and safety practices.
  • Expert knowledge on the Bank's deposit and small business lending products and cash management services.
  • Minimum five years of business sales experience.
  • Thorough understanding of federal banking compliance and requirements.
