Full Job Description
Work Model: This role can be performed remotely from an approved location, with flexibility based on business needs and applicable requirements.

This is a fully remote role based in the central East Coast states, with travel as needed.

SCOPE OF ROLE

The Business Development Manager will drive rapid growth by achieving aggressive sales targets across the East Coast region. This role focuses on identifying, securing, and growing new customers; understanding customer needs; presenting suitable products; supporting new product development; and maintaining strong customer relationships. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a builder mindset who is eager to demonstrate their ability to build and grow a regional territory above market levels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned region. Understand market trends and customer needs to effectively position our products. Drive innovation by pinpointing product gaps and championing new product development projects.

Regional Sales Leadership: Working closely with the Manufacturers' representative to provide guidance, support and progression in assigned regions.

Customer Success: Act as a trusted advisor to solve problems, remove barriers, and provide exceptional value, ensuring customer needs are met while fostering satisfaction and loyalty.

Product Presentation: Present and explain our product features and benefits to customers, using technical knowledge to demonstrate how our products meet their needs.

Channel Alignment: Engage with both national and regional channel partners to leverage their exposure and resources to earn share in the market.

Collaboration: Team up with inside sales, product management, and other departments to develop winning sales strategies, improve product offerings, and deliver above-quota growth.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in related field required

4-5+ years of related sales experience preferred

Proven track record of exceeding sales objectives.

Deep understanding of industry standards and regulations, including UL, IEEE, NEC, and IEC.

Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

In-depth knowledge of customer and market dynamics.

Exceptional ability to prospect, qualify, and close new customers.

This fully remote role requires extensive travel within the assigned territory, and the individual must live in or around the central East Coast states.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 USD + bonus

The salary range reflects the company's base pay compensation for this position. Actual salary will depend on several factors, including worksite location, geographic market, skills, experience, education, and internal peer compensation comparisons.
