Personal Attributes

The successful candidate will exhibit the following attributes:

• Balances ambition for growth with patience for the trust and timing that complex construction decisions require.

Genuine Consultative Curiosity

• Is naturally interested in the reasoning behind design preferences, technical concerns, and customer priorities.
• Approaches differing perspectives with thoughtful questions rather than assuming a familiar solution fits every project.

Confidence Without Overstatement

• Is comfortable with executive and technical audiences without relying on status, jargon, or exaggerated certainty.
• Values honest limits and credible evidence more than appearing to have every answer.

Independent Personal Accountability

• Is self-directed and dependable in a remote, travel-intensive environment without needing frequent oversight.
• Feels personally responsible for commitments and outcomes, including when progress depends on others.

Collaborative Business Mindset

• Thinks beyond personal wins and values shared success across sales and technical teams.
• Remains receptive to colleagues' expertise when customer priorities and business-unit interests differ.

Steady Adaptable Composure

• Remains measured when growth pressure, technical objections, or shifting project priorities create uncertainty.
• Is comfortable adjusting expectations as markets and customer needs evolve without becoming reactive or losing long-term perspective.

Grounded Critical Thinking

• Is thoughtfully open to evolving technology while remaining skeptical of confident outputs that lack evidence or project context.
• Is inclined to question assumptions, verify technical claims, and revise views when better evidence emerges, retaining personal accountability for judgment.

Computer Skills:

• Must be highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM is a plus.

Other Skills and Requirements:

• Ability to explain construction concepts clearly and build effective working relationships with customers, design professionals, and other specification influencers.
