The Business Consultant, Business Strategy & Operations, serves as a seasoned individual contributor responsible for solving complex operational problems with designated clients. This role takes a broad perspective to identify operational performance improvement opportunities and supports the adoption of innovative solutions. The consultant acts as a functional specialist, focusing on building and extending client relationships, and works independently with limited supervision except in the most complex situations. The position requires proactive identification of processing efficiencies, support for service changes, and system enhancements, while maintaining strong knowledge of Visa products and services.
All roles require digital fluency, including the ability to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the CMS business reviews, including deliverables, stakeholder coordination, and timeline execution.
- Develop executive-ready presentations that highlight business performance, strategic priorities, risks, opportunities, and key decisions.
- Synthesis inputs across Visa Direct, VCS, and VGS, by working with Sales, Finance and Operations teams.
- Enhance reporting frameworks to focus leadership discussions on forward-looking insights, performance gaps, strategic trade-offs, and actionable decisions rather than status reporting.
- Maintain action-item governance and follow-through from business reviews.
- Partner with Finance and business leaders to monitor revenue and expense performance against AOP and forecast.
- Develop and maintain long-terim revenue forecasts and performance models.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications:- 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:- 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
- 5 or more years of of experience in business management, finance, strategy, sales operations, management consulting, or related analytical roles.
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and business performance management experience.
- Experience developing executive-level presentations and leadership communications.
- Advanced analytical skills with expertise in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to synthesize large datasets into executive insights and recommendations.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders across multiple organizations without direct authority.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience supporting executive leadership teams.
- Experience with performance reporting, MBR/QBR processes, and operating reviews.
- Familiarity with revenue forecasting, P&L management, budgeting, and financial planning.
- Experience using Power BI, Tableau, AI Tools or other analytics platforms.
Information for US ApplicantsFor roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $136,000.00 to $ 217,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
