Business Analyst - MDM & Data Governance | About You
As a Business Analyst - MDM & Data Governance, you will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, helping define and deliver enterprise master data management and governance solutions. You will be responsible for gathering requirements, documenting business processes, defining data standards, and supporting the implementation of MDM platforms and governance frameworks. The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis expertise with experience in data governance, data quality, and master data initiatives, with exposure to Profisee or similar MDM platforms highly preferred.
Business Analyst - MDM & Data Governance | Day-to-Day
Partner with business stakeholders, data owners, and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and data requirements for MDM and data governance initiatives.
Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and stakeholder interviews to define master data standards, business rules, stewardship processes, and governance requirements.
Develop and maintain business requirements documents, user stories, process flows, data mappings, gap analyses, and functional specifications.
Support the implementation and enhancement of MDM solutions by defining match/merge rules, survivorship logic, data quality requirements, and stewardship workflows.
Collaborate with Data Stewards, Architects, Data Engineers, and MDM development teams to ensure business requirements are accurately translated into technical solutions.
Support data quality, data governance, and master data lifecycle initiatives through testing, validation, issue resolution, user acceptance activities, and stakeholder communications.
Business Analyst - MDM & Data Governance | Skills & Experience
5+ years of Business Analyst experience, with demonstrated experience supporting Master Data Management (MDM), Data Governance, or Data Strategy initiatives.
Strong requirements gathering and stakeholder management skills, including workshops, discovery sessions, process mapping, business rule definition, and documentation.
Experience supporting MDM platforms such as Profisee, Informatica MDM, Reltio, Semarchy, Stibo Systems, or similar enterprise data management solutions.
Strong understanding of Data Governance principles, including data stewardship, data ownership, metadata management, reference data, and data quality processes.
Experience documenting match/merge rules, survivorship strategies, data definitions, governance workflows, and business process improvements.
Experience working with SQL, reporting, and enterprise data platforms, with the ability to analyze data and support testing and validation activities.
Preferred hands-on experience with Profisee MDM implementations or enhancements.
