Full Job Description
Daikin Applied is seeking a driven and detail-orientedBusiness Analyst - Digital MES & Mfg Systemsto join our team. This position will work directly with business leaders, business users, and Digital teammates to plan, define, design, specify, test, train, implement, and support order management related business processes and systems. The position requires an in-depth understanding and experience implementing, modifying, and supporting MES systems.

Location: Faribault, MN

What you will do:
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret complex manufacturing data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity in a productive and positive manner by bringing the appropriate stakeholders together to gain clarity and consensus for next steps is required
  • Collaborate with various departments, including IT, operations, materials, and engineering, to ensure alignment of goals and data-driven decision-making
  • Investigate issues with manufacturing applications, conducting root cause analysis and aligning resources to correct the issues
  • Demonstrated ability to:
    • lead, manage, and participate in cross-functional business projects
    • independently gather, document, clarify, and validate business requirements
    • clarify and document current-state, future-state, and the gap that exists between the two states
    • develop and document solution design alternatives, and then lead a group through the collaborative process of finalizing recommendations and documenting rationale
    • estimate high-level project timelines, resource needs, and funding needs
    • define a project to the degree required to gain business support, funding, and resource
    • communicate functional requirement/specifications to developer team
    • lead end users through training and testing by documenting user guides, training materials, business processes, test plans, and then performing the required in-person reviews of the material

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related or equivalent experience
  • 3 - 5 years' experience in a manufacturing or corporate business environment
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar
  • Expertise in translating complex datasets into actionable insights using advanced SQL queries and stored procedures
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
  • Strong commitment to accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, Lean methodologies, and Six Sigma principles is preferred
  • Experience with ERP systems and databases is a plus


The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $73,300 - $120,700 in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
