As a Business Analysis Consultant on the Claims Cost Management (CCM) Reporting & Analytics team, you will support UnitedHealth Group's mission by leading analytical initiatives that improve operational performance, strategic decisions, and business transformation.
You will partner with business, operations, finance, and technology teams to deliver actionable insights, scalable reporting, automated solutions, forecasting, and advanced analytics that improve business outcomes.
You will serve as a reporting and analytics expert, promoting best practices, consistency, and improved data consumption through Power BI, automation, and emerging technologies such as Generative AI.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:- Analyse operational and financial performance, including forecasting, variance analysis, KPI reporting, and root cause identification to support strategic decision-making
- Develop, maintain, and enhance executive reporting, scorecards, dashboards, and self-service analytics solutions using Power BI and automated reporting tools
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive process improvement, operational excellence, and business performance through data-driven insights and recommendations
- Leverage advanced analytics, Generative AI, and innovative problem-solving approaches to improve productivity and address complex business challenges
- Lead multiple projects and reporting initiatives while ensuring high-quality deliverables, scalability, and alignment with reporting governance and best practices
- Serve as a reporting and analytics subject matter expert by mentoring team members, conducting peer reviews, and supporting enterprise-wide analytics transformation initiatives

Required Qualifications:- 5+ years of directly applicable analytics, reporting, or business intelligence experience
- 3+ years of experience in Power BI, including dashboard development, data modelling, DAX, and report optimization
- 3+ years of experience working with relational databases and database structures such as SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, Snowflake, or equivalent platforms
- 3+ years of experience delivering complex reporting and analytics solutions, ensuring data quality and adherence to reporting governance and best practices
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
- Proven ability to lead initiatives, engage stakeholders, mentor teams, and manage competing priorities while driving continuous improvement in fast-paced environments
- Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex analyses to technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven comfortable leveraging Generative AI tools and capabilities to drive innovation, improve efficiency, and enhance analytical outcomes
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with advanced data visualization and self-service reporting solutions
- Experience supporting large-scale reporting, analytics, automation, or business transformation initiatives
- Healthcare industry experience, ideally with Claims Cost Management (CCM) knowledge
- Intermediate to Advanced experience with Tableau, Alteryx, Snowflake, or equivalent business intelligence and analytics platforms
- Knowledge of Power Platform, data automation, or cloud-based data environments
- Demonstrated ability to work with team members in a hands-on capacity

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 - $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
